Solar street lights are powered by crystalline silicon solar cells, with maintenance free valve controlled sealed batteries (colloidal batteries) storing electrical energy. Ultra high brightness LED lights serve as light sources and are controlled by intelligent charging and discharging controllers. They are used to replace traditional public power lighting street lights, without the need for laying cables, AC power supply, and electricity bills;
The construction and installation of solar street lights mainly consists of four parts: foundation construction, battery component installation, battery installation, and lamp installation.
foundation construction
1. Determine the position of standing lights; Survey the geological conditions. If the surface is 1.2 meters soft soil, the excavation depth should be deepened; At the same time, it is necessary to confirm that there are no other facilities (such as cables, pipelines, etc.) below the excavation location, and there are no long-term sunshade objects on the top of the street lights. Otherwise, it is necessary to replace the location appropriately;
2. Reserve (excavate) a 1 meter 3 pit that meets the standard at the position where the lighting fixtures are erected; Conduct positioning and pouring of embedded parts, place them in the center of the square pit, place one end of the PVC conduit in the middle of the embedded parts, and the other end in the storage area of the battery. Pay attention to keeping the embedded parts, foundation, and original ground on the same level (or the top of the screw on the same level as the original ground, depending on the site needs), and one side should be parallel to the road to ensure that the lamp pole is upright without deviation after being erected, Then, C20 concrete is poured and fixed, and the vibration rod is not stopped during the pouring process to ensure the overall compactness and firmness;
3. After the construction is completed, timely clean the residual sludge on the positioning plate and clean the impurities on the bolts with waste oil;
4. During the solidification process of concrete, it is necessary to regularly water and maintain it; The installation of the pendant lamp can only be carried out after the concrete has completely solidified (usually more than 72 hours).
Installation of battery components
1. Before connecting the positive and negative poles of the solar panel to the controller, measures must be taken to avoid short circuiting;
2. The connection between the solar cell module and the bracket should be firm and reliable;
3. The output lines of the components should be avoided from being exposed and securely tied with ties;
4. The orientation of the battery module should face due south, with the compass pointing towards it.
Battery installation
1. When placing the battery in the control box, it must be handled with care to prevent damage to the control box;
2. The connecting wires between batteries must be pressed onto the battery terminals using bolts and copper gaskets to enhance conductivity;
3. Do not short circuit the output line after connecting it to the battery under any circumstances to avoid damaging the battery;
4. The output line of the battery must be connected to the controller inside the pole through a PVC conduit;
5. After completing the above, check the wiring at the controller end to prevent short circuits. After normal operation, close the door of the control box.
lights installatio
1. Fix the components of each part: fix the solar panel to the solar panel bracket, fix the lamp head to the cantilever arm, then fix the bracket and cantilever arm to the main pole, and thread the connecting wire to the control box (battery box);
2. Before lifting the lamp pole, first check whether the fasteners at each part are firm, whether the lamp cap is installed correctly, and whether the light source works normally. Then, in the simple commissioning system, check whether the light source works normally by loosening the connecting line of the solar panel on the controller;
3. When lifting the main light pole, pay attention to safety precautions and ensure that the screws are securely fastened. If there is a deviation in the sunrise angle of the component, it is necessary to adjust its sunrise direction to fully face due south at the upper end;
4. Place the battery into the battery box and connect the connecting wire to the controller according to technical requirements; Connect the battery first, then the load, and then the solar panel; When conducting wiring operations, it is important to ensure that all wiring and the terminals marked on the controller are not connected incorrectly, and that the positive and negative polarities do not collide or be connected in reverse; Otherwise, the controller will be damaged;
5. Whether the commissioning system works normally; Loosen the solar panel connection wire on the controller, the light is on, connect the solar panel connection wire, and the light is off. At the same time, carefully observe the changes of each indicator light on the controller, and everything is normal before sealing the control box.
